Liesl Laurie joins Dancing with the Stars SA

Cape Town - The 12 celebrity spots in M-Net’s glitzy new reality show Dancing With The Stars SA are filling up fast. Earlier this month the channel confirmed that acting legend Frank Opperman and award-winning TV Presenter Thembisa Mdoda will be dusting off their dancing shoes.

Gorgeous screen and stage actress Juanita de Villiers followed suit and today M-Net confirmed the next household name to compete in the series.

South African sweetheart and former Miss South Africa Liesl Laurie will also shake, rattle and roll in Dancing With The Stars SA in 2018. And, her famous competitors had better watch out!

“I’m ready to win!” a confident Liesl gushed. “I’m also ready to learn and have fun - I’ve always wanted to do the splits, and now I have the opportunity!”

After growing up in Eldorado Park and completing a B.Com degree at the University of Johannesburg, Liesl won the Miss South Africa pageant in 2015. During her reign she stole the hearts of South Africans from all walks of life as she impressed everyone with her humility, boundless energy and striking sense of style. These days, she is also a presenter on popular independent radio station Jacaranda FM, and is the international brand ambassador of L’Oreal - Vichy Laboratoires in SA, USA and Brazil.

Dancing with the Stars SA, in which 12 untrained local celebrities will put their best foot forward with the help of highly skilled professional Latin and Ballroom dancers, will commence on M-Net channel 101 on Sunday 4 February 2018.

The hosts of the series are Tracey Lange and Chris Jaftha and the esteemed panel of judges will be announced in due course.
