Actress Linda Sokhulu needs no introduction. From Generations, to Isidingo, to Rhythm City, the 43-year-old is one of the most well-known faces on South African television.
Now, Linda stars in Still Breathing – M-Net's first drama in almost ten years – which centres on a group of former friends who are drawn together again after tragedy strikes.

In the series, she plays Ntombi the head of an NGO that supports women and children who have been victims of gender-based violence, and develops a relationship with lawyer, Lucille (Lorcia Khumalo).
We caught up with Linda to find out more about her new role, what it was like working on the project, and find out how she has been keeping busy during lockdown.
ON WHAT ATTRACTED HER TO THE ROLE
"I loved her attitude and her honesty. I saw a woman who is assertive and confident and fun all at the same time. It was a challenge keeping up with her. She's a layered character, which makes it an interesting journey to make choices that are true to her at that time."
ON THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN LUCILLE AND NTOMBI

ON WHAT IT WAS LIKE WORKING WITH LORCIA AND THE BARBUZANOS
"A dream come true! Lorcia is a gem. Such a giving actor and grounded person. I felt safe working with her. Johnny is one of those directors you must work with. More than once, please Johnny! He has a way of making you stretch yourself, while feeling safe. Tiffany is a remarkable writer, actor and person. She makes every day on set so special by just being there. Her talent in storytelling is what we all did our best to honour."
ON WHAT'S NEXT AND HOW SHE'S BEEN STAYING BUSY DURING LOCKDOWN
"Eating. To feel less guilty, I have put in some exercising, catching up on series and reading. As for what's next for me, I don't know for sure, but I hope keeping up with my craft will continue to open new opportunities."
