Local rocker Francois van Coke gets his own TV show

Cape Town - Soon Francois van Coke will be adding TV host to his long list of talents.

The local rocker will launch Die Van Coke Show on kykNET (DStv 144) on Monday, 8 October at 20:30.

The show will be a mix of game and talk show where everybody will be frantically and hilariously competing to win absolutely nothing.

Along with some of the country's funniest and most famous faces, Francois will take the mickey out of our big old crazy world.

In 2017, Van Coke was approached by C-Saw Productions to create a television show for kykNET. The format of the game show was created around Francois’ passions and interests. So a musical element is naturally part of the show.

Every week, two teams will compete in some quick-fire Q&A sessions. They will also be taking a look at a few of the incredible but true music videos from the weird and wonderful internet.

Team captains that will frequent the show, include: Cindy Swanepoel (Binnelanders), Jonathan (Radio Raps), Solomon Cupido (Mense Mense), Beer Adriaanse (Hotel, Fynskrif) and Quanita Adams (Sara se geheim).

Francois will not be embarking on this journey alone. Two of his compadres from Fokofpolisiekar are coming along for the TV adventure.

Behind the scenes, Hunter Kennedy and Wynand Myburgh will be working alongside producer Liebie Opperman and director Gerrit Joubert to knock the blue out of thirteen Mondays in a row.
