Ndlovu Youth Choir misses out on 'America's Got Talent' win

Cape Town – The Ndlovu Youth Choir's journey on America's Got Talent might have come to an end – but they are looking ahead to greater things.

For their final performance on the show, the choir who hails from Limpopo gave a moving tribute to Africa on Wednesday.

However, it wasn't enough to secure the public vote. In the live finale on Thursday aired in the US they were eliminated ahead of the top five acts announcement.

The choir had a rollercoaster ride on the reality competition with the judges vote often saving them from elimination.

Speaking about their journey on the show the choir wrote on Twitter: "Our @AGT journey may have come to an end, but this is only the beginning. We are so excited for what lies ahead, and we look forward to continuing sharing love, unity and above all hope."

22-year-old singer Kodi Lee who received Gabrielle Union's first golden buzzer went on to win the competition.

He walks away with a $1 million prize and will be headlining shows in Las Vegas in November.
