A scene in Manifest

Cape Town - The intriguing and compelling sci-fi-drama Manifest premieres on M-Net (DStv 101) Monday, 1 October at 20:00

The fascinating series premiere sees passengers boarding Montego Air Flight 828, a routine flight that’s rocked by some heavy turbulence for a seemingly short period of time while in the air.

When the plane lands safely, passengers and crew are relieved, but here’s the catch: While no time has passed for everyone on board, these unsuspecting travellers emerge from the plane to discover that five whole years have unaccountably passed since their flight took off with authorities, friends, families, colleagues and the rest of the world having written off the plane’s disappearance and had pronounced the people on board dead.

Bewildered and overwhelmed, all the survivors of this inexplicable event have been given a second chance. But as their new realities become clear, a deeper mystery unfolds and some of the returned passengers soon begin to realise that they may be meant for something greater than they ever thought possible.

The mystery drama stars Josh Dallas (Once Upon a Time), Melissa Roxburgh (Supernatural), Athena Karkanis (Zoo), J.R. Ramirez (Jessica Jones), Luna Blaise (Fresh off the Boat), Jack Messina and Parveen Kaur (Saving Hope).
