Paula says goodbye to 7de Laan

Johannesburg -  Oh no! 7de Laan has just announced the exit of another main cast member and this time the Laan is bidding farewell to fan-favourite Diaan Lawrenson, who plays the role of flamboyant, bubbly Paula.

Diaan has resigned from her full-time role to spend more time with her children Olivia and Thomas and her husband, actor Jody Abrahams, plus concentrate on her new job – she’s been offered a lecturer post at the AFDA campus in Cape Town while doing her Masters in Television and Theatre.

The 7de Laan team says they’re saddened by the loss of such a fantastic actress but are also glad that she can impart her wealth of knowledge to students.

But don’t despair 7de Laan fans, Paula isn’t leaving the show completely - she’ll make guest appearances in future episodes of the soapie, although it’s not yet clear how often that will be.
