SA dancer Johannes Radebe will take part in first same-sex duet on 'Strictly Come Dancing'

Cape Town – South African dancer Johannes Radebe will take part in a ground-breaking performance on the latest season of Strictly Come Dancing UK.

The 32-year-old is reportedly set to perform a same-sex dance duet with colleague Graziano Di Prima.

According to The Sun, the pair will dance to Emeli Sande's song Shine during the results show on Sunday, 3 November.

A source told the newspaper that this would hopefully pave the way for a same-sex couple in the show next year.

While there have been same-sex pairings in a group performance before this will be the first routine will only two people, reports DailyMail.

This news comes after Dancing on Ice - a rival song on ITV Choice - announced their first same-sex pair. Former Steps singer Ian 'H' Watkins will be partnered with professional Matt Evers.

Johannes who joined the show last year is partnered with Catherine Tyldesley.
