Cape Town – SABC1 is looking for new voice-over artists in web auditions.
The channel is looking for new voice-over artists to do what is known in the biz as "links" and to introduce different shows on the channel during prime time, do general SABC1 promo's, the obligatory "tomorrow on ...", and for general entertainment, as well as its soaps line-up.
People between 18 and 40 and who are interested have to digitally record one of the pre-written scripts and then email it to vos@sabc1.co.za in a size no larger than 5MB.

Existing employees of the SABC and related people are not allowed to enter.
Each of the recorded demo promo's should not exceed 30 seconds in length and the closing date is Sunday 4 March.
The SABC says all entries become the property of SABC1.SABC1 told Channel24 it’s looking for 8 fresh additional voices to cover language and gender requirements.
Successful candidates will be notified during March and will have to attend a live studio read, after which the final candidates will be selected. SABC1 doesn't specify what successful voice-over artists will be paid.
