Johannesburg - Sarah Michelle Gellar is back in the acting business! The Hollywood star will be reprising her role as Kathryn Merteuil in the reboot of the 1999 film, Cruel Intentions.
NBC is making a spin-off series inspired by the film which in turn was an adaption of a classic French novel Les Liaisons Dangereuses by Pierre Choderlos de Laclos.
The actress took to social media to share the good news as well as shared a snap of her with original director Roger Kumble and executive producer Neal Moritz.
"Everybody loves me, and I intend to keep it that way. Kathryn Merteuil is back! I am happy to say that I will be joining them and NBC TV on the new Cruel TV," says Michelle.
The original cast included Ryan Philippe, Selma Blair and Taylor John Smith, but so far, no other cast members have been revealed.
