Scandal's! Romeo dishes on that cheating storyline

Johannesburg - With exams underway across the nation Scandal! on e.tv ran an exam cheating storyline.

In case you missed it here's a quick summary: Lindiwe (Nomvelo Makhanya) finally took up Romeo's (Hungani Ndlovu) offer to hack into her school's server to steal exam papers for her. Although conflicted about it Romeo convinced her that it was a gift from him to her.

Lindi was grateful to Romeo, but adamant it was a once off and that she would not cheat again.

tvplus had a quick chat with Ndlovu about the soapie’s exam cheating story.

What was your first impression of the storyline?

I thought that it was a great storyline! Romeo is a problem child. His mom never got him enrolled back into school, so he had to finish Matric via correspondence and I was thinking that there’s no way with all this IT knowledge that he has, that he was going to do things the proper way. So when the exam paper story came about, I was like, “Yeah, this is definitely Romeo’s job. The guy is a handful!"

How do you feel about people who cheat?

You know, I don’t have a particular feeling toward them. But things go around and things come back around because that’s just how life works. So if I was ever to know someone who cheated at something or was going to cheat, I would only want to warn them about how life works, because there’s no bad thing that can be a good thing forever. So that’s my take on it. Life will hand you its punishment. It’s not my baby to deal with it; it’s the cheater’s failure.

*Scandal! fans, what do you think of cheaters and cheating?
