Johannesburg - Having already made herself a fan favourite on SABC 1 soap opera Generations: The Legacy, Thulisile Phongolo will no longer be a part of cast.

The 24-year-old plays Namhla Diale on Generations. Namhla is a young driven ambitious girl who goes to all measures to achieve her goal and she is also the daughter of ex-convict Lucie Diale and Jack Mabaso – who is a well-connected criminal and business man.

Generations’ PR manager Gaaratwe Mokethi told Drum that she’s not sure when Thulisile is leaving but she still has some scenes for the next two months.

“Her reason for leaving is due to the script of the soapie but she won’t be one of those characters who’ll leave Generations by dying,” she said.

“I don’t have the exact date but I think it will be the last day of shooting because the scenes that she shot are still going to show for the next two months, her character was written off and I’m not sure how is she going to leave but you know how soapy roles are but I’m definitely sure that she’s not going to die.”
