Cape Town - American TV personality Steve Harvey announced on Monday that the popular TV game show, Family Feud will be coming to South Africa.

At a press briefing in Johannesburg, Steve discussed details of the first of its kind production involving the A-list entertainer hosting a version of Family Feud with South African families.

The popular game show, in which two families compete to name the most popular responses to gathered survey questions in order to win cash and prizes, was created by Mark Goodson and has been running since 1976, generating multiple adaptations in over 50 international markets.

Steve began hosting Family Feud in 2010.

The local version of Family Feud will commence production in Johannesburg in the last quarter of 2019 and will begin airing in Africa in the first quarter of 2020.
