'Suits' addressed Meghan Markle's character in the best way possible with this cheeky comment

Cape Town – Suits just addressed Meghan Markle's character in the best way possible in the latest episode to air of the show's final season.

As you know, Mike Ross and Rachel Zane married in a fairytale ceremony in the final episode of season seven of Suits. Both Patrick J. Adams and Meghan Markle exited the show. But with Patrick's return for the ninth and final season, Meghan's character would have to be addressed in some or other way. And the writers couldn't have done a better job of it.

When Katrina asked Mike how Rachel was doing in Thursday's episode, he responded, "Good," followed by a rather witty – even cheeky – comment on the writers' part, "If I told you how good, you probably wouldn't believe me."

I mean, if you told us season one paralegal Meghan would go on to marry a prince, become the Duchess of Sussex and go on royal tours with the Queen of England, we probably wouldn't have believed you either.

The Suits' Twitter account made the not-so-subtle moment even sweeter when they shared a gif of the scene.

"Turns out Rachel is doing REALLY well," they joked.

And while we know we may not get a comment from across the pond, we imagine Meghan over at Frogmore Cottage reminiscing about what must feel like a lifetime ago now, before looking over at Prince Harry with an affirmative, "Yup. REALLY well."
