Swimming with sharks

Johannesburg - Dragons’ Den South Africa was a massive success, and now a new show about pitching business ideas is making its way to our TV screens. This time, entrepreneurs with ideas will be thrown into the Shark Tank.

Like Dragons’ Den, the Emmy Award-winning reality series Shark Tank will see contestants trying to convince five potential investors to buy into their budding ideas. The trick is to convince these highly critical and experienced businesspeople that it will be worth their while to bankroll the new business, product or invention. The “sharks” include group co-CEO of The Creative Counsel Gil Oved, young self-made multimillionaire Marnus Broodryk, formidable business leader Dawn Nathan-Jones, commercial strategist Romeo Kumalo and renowned internet entrepreneur Vinny Lingham.
