San Diego — Teen Wolf is biting the dust.

The cast and executive producer Jeff Davis announced at Comic-Con on Thursday afternoon that the MTV supernatural series is ending after its upcoming sixth season.

Teen Wolf star Tyler Posey thanked the fans gathered in Ballroom 20 at the San Diego Convention Center for their support of the show over the past five years.

"I fucking love you guys so much," Posey told the crowd.

The moody reimagining of the comedy film series starring Michael J. Fox debuted in 2011 with a darker tone about a group of werewolves and other things that go bump in the night.

While the cast and crew will produce 20 more episodes of Teen Wolf, Posey continued to remind fans Thursday that this would be their last Comic-Con together.

"Let's get some emotional questions," said Posey before a Q&A session. "I need to cry right now."

Posey was joined by co-stars Holland Roden, Dylan Sprayberry, Cody Christian, Khylin Rhambo, J. R. Bourne and Ian Bohen.

Davis and the cast teased that the sixth season, which is set to premiere in November, will feature time-bending story lines, a new group of horse-mounted villains called the "ghost riders" and the return of long-gone characters.

"It memorialises the relationships in a really nice way," said Davis.

At the beginning of the panel, a jokey Posey entered the mammoth venue to Irene Cara's "Flashdance ... What a Feeling" and proceeded to pour a bottle of water on himself.
