Cape Town – Renowned astrophysicist Stephen Hawking died on Wednesday at the age of 76.
The visionary mind had an amazing life and set the world alight with his amazing theories and his popularity crossed over into the world of pop culture.
One of his biggest moments on the small screen came on the hit TV show, The Big Bang Theory, which features a nerdy bunch of men trying to traverse adult life.
The series had the world-famous mind on the show as a guest star on numerous occasions and he was a true fan favourite.
It was fitting that following Hawking’s death the show and its star Mayim Bialik (who is a real-life neuroscientist) remembered the icon with posts on their social media.
