The creator of Netflix drama The Crown admits to concocting another storyline, this time for the third season of the popular series.

Cape Town - In the second episode, the queen asks Princess Margaret to go on a diplomatic visit to the United States and this requires her to be on her best behaviour.
Writer Peter Morgan says he dreamt up the scene where Princess Margaret gets tipsy and tells dirty limericks while visiting US President Lyndon B Johnson in the White House, reports The Sun.
Historically the royal and her husband, Lord Snowden, did take a trip to the US to visit the president, but there’s no proof she behaved badly.
Peter says he has no idea what the royal may have done at the White House but he has a feeling that away from her sister’s scrutiny she could be herself and that's what he wanted to show.
Most of the previous storylines have been recreated with painstaking detail, however Peter has admitted to using his artistic license with certain events, according to the Express.
The creators have previously decided to cut other outrageous scenes.
According to Daily Mail, a racy sex scene between Queen Elizabeth and Prince Phillip was cut because the writers felt that viewers "didn’t need to see that".
While you’ll never get to see those steamy scenes, the new storyline certainly amps up the drama.
This comes after The Crown previously suggested the queen had an affair with her horse trainer and claimed that the Queen Mother conspired to split up young Prince Charles and Camilla’s burgeoning relationship.
