'This Is Us' has three new little cast members

Cape Town – Filming of season four of the NBC family drama, This Is Us has begun, and there are reportedly three new members.

The Emmy-award winning show is a heart-warming and emotional story about a unique set of triplets, their struggles, and their wonderful parents.

It stars Milo Ventimiglia, Mandy Moore, Sterling K. Brown, Chrissy Metz, Justin Hartley and Susan Kelechi Watson.

We've seen The Big Three as babies, as nine-year-olds, teens and young adults and now for the first time, we will see them as toddlers.

On Wednesday creator Dan Fogelman shared a snap of three cute toddlers with the caption: "I am dead. #Thisisus"

The writing team for the show retweeted it and wrote: "We can't wait for you guys to meet these cuties. #LittlelestBigThree #ThisIsUs”

Season 3 ended largely on a positive note and with a glimpse into the future.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly Dan gave a tease of what's to come in the upcoming season.

"It's going to feel in some ways almost like a version of season 1 in the middle of our series, in that we're starting these new stories after we've told a lot of the stories in full for the past three seasons," said Dan.

He went on to say that a lot of the story in season 4 will fill in some of the middle and inform what viewers have already seen.

This Is Us debuts in the US on Tuesday, 24 September. M-Net has yet to release a premiere date for South Africa.
