Barbershop 2: Back in Business

This sequel to the 2002 film returns to the Chicago barbershop owned by Calvin Palmer Jr (Ice Cube). His employees have their own personal and workplace problems, and a new barbershop called Nappy Cutz has moved in across the street.

Shuga is back

Channel: Shuga BET (DStv 120)

The sixth season of Shuga is set against the backdrop of a bustling Lagos metropolis, where we see the northern and southern communities blended together. In this explosive new season we meet a host of new characters dealing with coming-of-age dramas in which friendships are tested, relationships reach risky heights and secrets threaten to break family ties.

The new season will bring back some of the old cast and introduce new faces.

Among the fresh faces joining the crew are 10 up-and-coming actors, and returning cast members include Timini Egbuson, Jemima Osunde and Sharon Ezeamaka.

Fan favourite Olumide Oworu, who played Weki in seasons three and four, will also reunite with the original Shuga crew.

Disenchantment

Available on: Netflix SA from 17 August

From the mind of Matt Groening comes the 10-episode adult animated comedy fantasy series Disenchantment. Viewers will be whisked away to the crumbling medieval kingdom of Dreamland, where they will follow the misadventures of hard-drinking young princess Bean, her feisty elf companion Elfo and her personal demon Luci. The trio will encounter ogres, sprites, harpies, imps, trolls, walruses and lots of human fools.
