WATCH: John Krasinski to play fictional spy in new Amazon series

Cape Town - With an original storyline, while still maintaining the fan-favourite characters, Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan is an action-packed CIA thriller that will keep audiences on the edge of their seats through every twist and turn. 

The Amazon series is a reinvention with a modern sensibility of the unexpected Tom Clancy hero portrayed by John Krasinski (A Quiet Place, 13 Hours) and created for television by Carlton Cuse (Lost, Bates Motel) and Graham Roland (Fringe, Prison Break), who also serve as the series’ Showrunners. 

When CIA analyst Jack Ryan stumbles upon a suspicious series of bank transfers his search for answers pulls him from the safety of his desk job and catapults him into a deadly game of cat and mouse throughout Europe and the Middle East, with a rising terrorist figurehead preparing for a massive attack against the US and her allies.

The series will debut the series globally on 31 August on Amazon Prime Video.
