Cape Town - Simon Cowell received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in Los Angeles on Wednesday.
The Britain's Got Talent and X Factor judge was honoured for his services to television at a star-studded ceremony.
Speaking about the experience Cowell said it was surreal.
"It’s been a blast the last 18 years. If anyone says fame is a bad thing, I don’t know what you’re talking about. It’s the best thing in the world."
Kelly Clarkson, One Direction’s Louis Tomlinson, Idol alums Katharine McPhee and Adam Lambert, Fifth Harmony’s Ally Brooke, Leona Lewis, Grace Vanderwaal, Heidi Klum, Howie Mandel and Mel B were all in attendance to celebrate with him.
