WATCH: 'Top Gear' co-hosts Paddy McGuinness and Chris Harris share inside details about new season on glitzy red carpet in London

London - It's about 6 degrees Celsius in the city, but that didn't stop fans from braving the chilly weather to get a glimpse of the Top Gear presenters and The Stig. The world premiere of Top Gear season 28 was held in Leicester Square, London on Monday. As the presenters walked the red carpet, the crowd was buzzing in anticipation.

Channel24 was on the red carpet to get some inside details from co-hosts Paddy McGuinness and Chris Harris about the new season which will debut on Thursday, 5 March at 20:00 on BBC Brit (DStv 120). Describing the new season, Paddy says it's 'funny, mad and scary' Chris adds 'exhilarating, worrying and fast.' Speaking about the first episode, Paddy says viewers can look forward to a traditional seaside holiday and Freddie Flintoff being dropped off a 500-foot dam. The pair also teased that they might be visiting South Africa soon.

After a successful first season, the trio are back with even more motoring entertainment. From bungee jumping in a car to a race between a fighter jet and a McLaren hypercar, to a road trip through Peru.

Season 28 has something for everyone, not just the petrolheads. Ahead of the season premiere tune in to Top Gear A Nepal special on Thursday, 27 February at 20:00 on BBC Brit (DStv 120).
