We're ready for Lizzo to meet Lizzie!

Cape Town – Lizzo wants to star in the Lizzie McGuire reboot and star Hilary Duff is keen for the singer, rapper, and actress to take part.

Disney announced at their annual D23 convention on Friday, that Hilary will return as the titular character, Lizzie McGuire for a brand-new show centring on the character in her 30s.

The Juice singer was just as excited about the news as everyone else.

On Saturday she retweeted a Hollywood Reporter story about the reboot with the comment: "Let me get a cameo."

Hilary responded saying: "Ummmmm duh! Hired!"
