Who will make it to top 2 on Idols SA?!

Johannesburg - The biggest season of Idols SA to date will soon be drawing to a close. We'll find out on Sunday which two finalists will go head-to-head to be named South Africa’s next singing sensation at the grand finale on Sunday, 22 November.

Will it be 24-year-old Karabo Mogane who has become known as the Idols man who added a lot of personality to his soothing voice after being called dull during his first audition? Or will the young Rhema Varrie (21), who has been supporting his family financially, sing his way to the top? And what are the chances of having the first female winner in four seasons? The vivacious 23-year old Mmatema Moremi is the only woman still standing.

On Sunday one of them will become the last contestant to leave the competition, and the remaining two will perform once last time for those precious and all-important fans’ votes.

In addition, Sunday’s show is also jam-packed with guest performances from some of South Africa’s top artists, like Danny K and Anantii, and Durban’s DJ Fisherman, along with NaakMusiQ, Dreamteam, Danger, and DJ Sk. Plus a stunning group performance by the Top 10 contestants who have left the game.

Three rounds!

Each of the top 2 contestants will have three opportunities to impress the judges and the fans, singing their showstopper song again from the top 7 spectacular, and a song chosen for them by the Idols SA producers, and finally: the brand new single that they would release if they won the competition!

For the Showstopper round Karabo is rehearsing the EDM hit Blame from Calvin Harris, Mmatema has to repeat her Whitney Houston hit I Wanna Dance With Somebody, and for Rhema it would be Chris Brown’s Fine China.

The songs that the producers selected for each contestant are: Michael Bublé’s Home for Karabo, the brand new Adele hit Hello for Mmatema, and Ricardo’s I Love You Daddy, for Rhema.

And Karabo’s Winner’s Song, should he make it though, is called Ding Dong, Mmatema’s is Because of You, and Rhema’s winner’s single would be You Hold Me Up.

Voting for the top 2 will open during Sunday’s show and will only close at 22:00 on Friday, 20 November, after the top 2’s whirlwind tour to Durban and Cape Town next week. More details about the tour will soon be available and published on the Idols website.

The winner of Idols SA Season 11 will be announced in the spectacular Finalé, broadcast live from the Carnival City on Sunday, 22 November at 17:00!

Tune in to see the performances on Sunday at 17:00 on M-Net (DStv 101) and Mzansi Magic (DStv 161).
