Cape Town - It looks like Queen Elizabeth is also a series binge watcher – and no, it’s not The Crown!

According to a royal insider, the 93-year-old sends a special request to the BBC with a list of television shows she’d like to have recorded, the Express UK reports.

These shows are then arranged on separate DVDs and watched by Her Majesty when she’s at Balmoral Castle – the Scottish home of the royal family.

One of her former aides revealed the queen’s all-time favourite programme is The Bill which ended in 2010, after accumulating ratings of three million viewers, The Sun.

Even though the queen didn’t like “those episodes where the policemen get hurt”, the insider revealed she was still disappointed when the show was taken off the air.

Actor Paul Nicholls, who’d once seen the list received from Buckingham Palace, confirmed The Bill as a royal favourite.

“Besides The Bill there was Keeping Up Appearances, Midsomer Murders, New Tricks, Last of the Summer Wine and the complete Doctor Who,” he revealed to US Morning.
