Mud and tears for last six Survivors

2014-04-25 07:00
Johannesburg - They're hungry, tired, dirty and obsessed with becoming South Africa's new Ultimate Survivor - and just the thought of jumping into a disgusting, foul-smelling mud pit to win a reward is something they’d rather not deal with.

But once the remaining six castaways on M-Net's Survivor South Africa: Champions find out what awaits the winner of this challenge, they're more motivated than ever before.

"Even though it's not for Immunity, this challenge might change the course of the competition," says M-Net's Head of Publicity, Lani Lombard. "The Survivors' eagerness to nail this challenge and move forward in the game sparks some impulsive behaviour with long-term consequences. Also, have enough tissues at hand for this episode. There won't be a dry eye in the house!”

So far, Mark Fish has nailed three of the four Salvation Cup challenges, which allows the winning captain to possibly help a castaway at Tribal Council. Will Corne Krige be able to make a comeback; and who of the remaining six will persuade the winning Captain that they need a vote against them to be nullified? As the group gets smaller, the power of Salvation becomes more and more important.

The plotting and scheming that viewers have come to expect this season, continues – and gets more serious - in this extremely emotional episode.

Survivor South Africa: Champions is broadcast on M-Net on Sundays at 17:30. For DStv Compact viewers, there's a repeat on Saturdays on M-Net Series Zone at 13:00. For the latest updates on the show, join the official Survivor Facebook page – Survivor SA.
