Survivor SA Champions: What will happen in episode 3?

2014-01-30 22:00
Cape Town -  Viewers who loved the high-adrenaline challenges from the very first episode of M-Net’s Survivor South Africa: Champions are in for an extra-special treat this coming Sunday at 17:30.

While the castaways were plotting and scheming and forming alliances in last week’s episode, Mark Fish's Utara and Corne Krige’s Selatan are taking their fighting spirit to two difficult physical challenges again in episode 3, this week. To up the ante, an international sporting legend arrives to offer a helping hand – or maybe more accurately, his magic footwork  – to one of the tribes.

"There have been some surprise visits to Survivor islands in the past, but this is the first time a visitor will become actively involved in the challenge," says M-Net's Head of Publicity, Lani Lombard. "Sport fans are going to love this episode."

At Selatan, the tribe members have to process the shock tribal council which saw Ashleigh leaving and indicated that Zavion and his alliance were not running the show after all. Life is also not that rosy anymore at Utara, where captain Mark is dealing with emotional and bratty tribe members.

In between all the drama, the plot thickens around the hidden immunity idol. What if David doesn't want to share this prized possession with Shona at Selatan? And will Buhle and Sonette make an effort to start searching for theirs at camp Utara?

Survivor South Africa: Champions is broadcast on M-Net on Sundays at 17:30. For DStv Compact viewers, there's a repeat on Saturdays on M-Net Series Zone at 13:00. For the latest updates on the show, join the official Survivor Facebook page – Survivor SA.
