And then there were four.

Another unexpected plot twist unfolded on the Bachelor SA on Thursday evening as Qiniso van Damme (26) and Mulesa Lumina (27) left the show – and now look to other means of finding love.

Both the ladies – like many of the other contestants – had tried many unorthodox ways of finding love, so the thought of meeting a good man who’s ready to settle down was something that appealed to them.

Although they wished for the same outcome, their experiences were different.

At the beginning of the season, Qiniso’s bubbly personality seemed to have won Marc Buckner’s heart as their on-air chemistry had viewers crossing fingers that they’d end up together.

However, those thoughts quickly came to an end when Marc questioned her genuineness and had her fight for her fate during the infamous two-on-one date with Jessica C.

The 26-year-old says that in Cape Town, where she’s from, there hadn’t been any men striking her as potential partners so she wouldn’t trade this experience for anything, even going full-throttle with her heart.

“The whole experience was something of a learning experience, just in terms of learning more about myself, more about how I open up . . . how I connect to people,” Qiniso tells YOU.

“I came into this experience with my heart on my sleeve and I don’t have any regrets about that. I’m a very emotional person, so when I love, I love completely, when I cry . . . same.”

Mulesa’s chemistry with Marc, on the other hand, had a gradual and unexpected turn. And not having enough one-on-one time with Marc didn’t make things easier when Marisia used her wild rose to snatch the bachelor’s attention.

Marc tried to get intimate with Mulesa during a candlelit dinner but in the end the 27-year-old from East London says she established that they view things differently.

“I was looking for something different and also very open to finding the kind of love that I like,” Mulesa said.

“Towards the end, Marc didn’t seem to get my vibe at all as we progressed in our relationship.

“I learned more and more to see that we just kind of wanted different things. And I’m fine with it, I think it’s okay not to have a match with someone. I’m quite at ease with the outcome.”

While Mulesa is at peace with how everything’s panned out, healing is due for Qiniso who’s adamant that it’s necessary before she moves on. They might have experienced two different realities but one thing they both share is well wishes for the bachelor.
