WARNING: The following article contains spoilers about The Bachelor SA season 2 finale.

Marc Buckner's search for love came to an end in the second season of The Bachelor SA.

The special 60-minute lockdown finale combined the last day at the Kapama Resort with Zoom calls during which some of the women shared their thoughts about life in the mansion, Marc and the journeys of Marisia and Bridget.

In the final episode of the season, it was revealed that Marc gave his last rose - and a ring - to speech therapist, Marisia van Wyk.

The 36-year-old professed his love for the shy 24-year-old at the Kapama Game Resort before the two walked off into the sunset.

"The first thing I noticed is how beautiful you are, then you made it so difficult to get to know you. You ran away from me," Marc laughed, as he held Marisia's hands in his.

"Then we went on our dates together and every second I spent with you, I wanted to spend more time with you. And that date when you came off the horse, it triggered something in me - I realised how much I care for you. I think we make a great couple and, I don't want this journey to end with you," he said as Marisia struggled to hold back her tears.

An instant attraction between the couple grew into more over their two-month journey on the show and Marisia said in that magical moment: "I've really fallen for you. There's just something with you that I've never felt with anyone before."

Marc and Marisia are still together and self isolating at Marc's place during lockdown.

The couple appeared together on screen at the end of the finale where they revealed they went on a secret trip to Thailand after Kapama and got to know each other a bit better without the cameras around, Marc's been doing much of the cooking during lockdown, while Marisia's been getting closer to Marc's beloved furry friend, Luna.

They also shared further details about the ring Marc selected specifically for Marisia, revealing it has a secret inscription on the inside that reads: "Stronger together, forever, baby girl."
