She’s had many failed attempts at love.

But that didn’t stop Pasha dos Santos from taking yet another chance at finding love through The Bachelor SA. And like many of the other contestants, the beauty hoped she’d successfully leave the show with a charming and good man.

It seemed as if she’d won the bachelor’s heart from the opening cocktail party on the show when she was the first lady to receive the white rose, indicating that Marc Buckner had an interest in getting to know her better.

"I was definitely sad to leave the show. I wanted to get to know Marc a little bit more. It was a surprise and a little bit of a shock,"" Pasha said. She believes she and Marc had a strong connection from the beginning, but it started to fade slightly before her exit.

As competition intensified among the contestants in the house, claws came out and fingers pointed at Pasha, claiming she was portraying two characters on the show. Unfortunately, Pasha became more focused on the tension with the other contestants instead of her quest for love with Marc – which she believes contributed to her leaving the show.

"Maybe I should’ve focused a little bit more on just myself and Marc.

"The environment in the house definitely got to me more than it should’ve. I thought I was going to be a lot stronger on the show than I was.

"You see the show on TV and you love it and you think it’s just going to be great, and then once you’re in it, it’s a whole other story," she said.

As much as the two were head over heels for each other and shared a lot of chemistry on camera, the Capetonian says she no longer has feelings for Marc. She doesn’t think their connection is strong enough for her not to move on.

"I don’t think we had enough time to get to know each other really, really well – even for the person who ends up with him and his choices in life."

Pasha – who prefers not making use of online dating platforms – says that while she’s actively looking for new love, being on lockdown has put her quest on hold as she lives at home with just her cat.

The Bachelor SA season 2 airs Thursdays at 19:00 on M-Net (DStv 101)
