AKA: I'd like to apologise to Zinhle

Johannesburg- AKA bared his soul to fans across the country during his tell-all interview with MTV Base Africa on Friday afternoon.

News of the feature, AKA: Behind the Story had fans waiting in anticipation all week long for the two part interview, which aimed to set the record straight on issues surrounding the rapper.

The All Eyes on Me star poured his heart out about his relationship with the mother of his child, DJ Zinhle.

MTV presenter Sizwe Dhlomo, asked AKA if he feels like he's wronged Zinhle.

"I don't want to call it mistakes, I feel like I have made choices that have put me before her, before my child and before my family," AKA said.

AKA lashed out at the media for allegedly "forcing and invading the entire situation."

Adding, "I would like to apologize to Zinhle, her fans, her family and my family."

Sizwe went on to ask AKA about his mom's take on all the negativity.

"My mom is very close to Zinhle and she's very hands-on with her. It doesn't help that every weekend there's a different story about me, but nobody wins in this situation, not Zinhle, not my mom, not Kairo. And, at the end of the day, she's my mother and will always support me," AKA explained.

That brought part one of AKA: Behind the Story to an end.

The MTV Base Africa special will continue on Saturday (3 October) morning at 11am, where the rapper is expected to address the swirling cheating rumours facing him and Bonang Matheba. Catch it all on DSTV channel 322.
