AKA hangs out with Trevor Noah in NYC

Johannesburg - Just because Trevor Noah is on an international stage as the host of The Daily Show, doesn't mean he can't make time for old pals.

AKA is currently in NYC and made sure to visit his friend, Trevor on the set of his show.

The hip-hop artist posted a picture of himself with Trevor and a really long message about dreams. Long, but so worth the read.

"Dreams are what make us get up in the morning, they keep the fire burning. In our country, too often people are ridiculed for the size of their dreams. I see a lot of similarities in Trevor and myself.

"While we are on different paths and in different lanes, myself, much like the continent's great talents, we are on a mission to change the way the world sees us. There has never been a better to time to be African."

Good Morning South Africa ???? As you you start your day I want to tell you a story about dreams. Dreams are what make us get up in the morning, they keep the fire burning. In our country, too often are people are ridiculed for the size of their dreams. The courage that it takes, the belief in yourself to move to the other side of the world and leave your comfort zone requires a lot of guts and bravery. I see a lot of similarities in Trevor and myself. While we are on different paths and in different lanes, myself, much like the rest of this continent's great talents, we are on a mission to change the way the WORLD sees us. There has never been a better time to be AFRICAN. It was really cool seeing first hand how big of a deal he had become in the states(the guy has ads in the subway, on the top of cabs ?? even!). It was a bit surreal watching it LIVE because I've been a big fan of the Daily Show for years(even now I watch it, see him as the host and have to keep reminding myself it's not a show on Mnet or something). I've known him for a while and besides him being in a bit of a rush(he's a busy guy now) ... He still took the time to make sure I was well taken care of and made sure we linked up after the show .... Definitely one of the most inspiring experiences of my life. So cheers @trevornoah ?? ...
