Johannesburg - The protests at Wits University have captured the nation's attention and has quickly become a talking point across the country, with even celebs taking a stand.
Hip hop superstar AKA has revealed that he will be joining protesters at Wits on Tuesday afternoon.
Ever since the protests against high tertiary education fees started last week, fans have been calling on their favourite celebs to give their thoughts on the matter.
Many of these celebs have been naturally shy to voice their thoughts on the matter in public but AKA is never one to mince his words.
At first AKA was hesitant to speak about the matter, calling on leaders and not celebrities to lead the protest.
Don't look to your celebrities for leadership. Look to your leaders.

But in a surprise u-turn, after a call from singer Simphiwe Dana, AKA has had a change of heart on the matter.
If you are in the public eye. Pls don't wait for an invitation. Join the #FeesMustFall marches across the country. The kids need us

I guess I have to put my own feelings aside in this instance. As much as I feel aggrieved, shit is going down and I need to be there.

On my way to WITS to stand in solidarity with the students.
