Amanda du Pont blasted for calling herself a princess

Amanda du Pont has angered a real Swazi princess after referring to herself as a princess. The actress appeared on Screentime with Nicky Greenwall recently, where she reportedly claimed that she is a Swazi Princess and that people back home refer to her as 'Nkhosi'. She also added that people bow when they greet her.

According to the Times of Swaziland, her statement didn't sit well with Princess Simile Dlamini, who is the daughter of Prince Lonkhokhela. Simile took to Instagram to voice her anger at Amanda. She reportedly blasted Amanda for "false utterances" about being royalty.

The site reported that one of Simile's statements read: “Watching Amanda du-Pont lying about being a Swazi princess on eNCA. I’ve heard about this lie but it’s the first time I watched it come out of her mouth-unbelievable." The princess further claimed that this is something she took personally because this is her real life and that Amanda is talking falsely.

OUCH.
