Maybe it has something to do with it's rebranding as Generations: The Legacy or the fact that its ratings are dropping faster than Joburg rain, but Generations have once again been snubbed for a soapie award.
The soapie did not receive a single nomination at the South African Film and Television Awards (SAFTA) last night.
But if Generations is out of luck, lady luck is definitely smiling on Isibaya. The Mzansi Magic soapie received no less than 12 nominations at the awards.
In other big announcements, the Best Actor category will be contested by Jamie Bartlett (David Genaro- Rhythm City), Motlatsi Mafatshe (Sechaba Moloi - Isidingo) and Bongani Gumede (Mandla Ndlovu - Isibaya) will be going head to head.
While the Best Actress category will be contested by Kgomotso Christopher (Katlego - Isidingo), Tema Sebopedi (Lerato- Isidingo), Brumilda Van Rensburg (Jana du Preez - Binnelanders), Masasa Mbangeni (Thembeka- Scandal) and Desiree Gardner (Daleen- - Binnelanders).
Oh, and in case you ever doubted, Katch it with Khanyi was also nominated for Best Talk Show.
