Atandwa Kani leaves Generations to be a doctor again! Well, kinda

He played the role of American college graduate and Casanova, Samora Lembede, on Generations but actor Atandwa Kani is walking straight into a new role as a doctor in new drama series, Kowethu.

The star is one of the first fired Generations actors to announce their new projects. According to Time Live, Atandwa will play the role of a doctor whose father, a farmer, dies and he is forced to take over the running of the farm.

"I think the script is nothing we've seen on our screens before," Atandwa told the site,  hinting that the characters of the series all had a dark side to hide.

But this isn't the first time Atandwa has played the role of a doctor. Fans of the actor will remember him as the psychotic doctor, Mongezi Zwane, on hit TV series Muvhango a couple of years back.

Let's hope he's a bit of a better doctor this time around.
