Becoming a sangoma saved Generations' Busi's life

Joburg- Former Generations actress Busi Zokufa is best known for her role as Beatrice on the popular soap, but she's recently embraced a new role- one that has literally saved her life.

According to Daily Sun, Busi struggled for some time before deciding to heed the call of Amadlozi (the Ancestors) and becoming a sangoma.

She says her life was a nightmare of urges encouraging her to eat her script papers, bad dreams and spinal cord injuries.

“I couldn’t walk or perform and was in a wheelchair for over a month, " she told the paper.

“I was healed by my ancestors, who told me to boil water, put it in a bottle and place it where I had pain. That was the last time I suffered from the pain. I knew I had to listen to them and I went to thwasa,” she adds.

Busi has since graduated and is currently undergoing further training in Ekurhuleni.

She plans to move back to the Eastern Cape when she is done so she can help communities in the area.

So, if you're in the area and need some help, watch out for her.
