Big changes on the cards at e.tv

The television station has big things in store for 2015.

e.tv recently held a press briefing where they revealed what viewers can expect during the course of the year.

The channel was careful not to let too much out the bag, as it does not want to spoil the surprise for viewers.

So, here's what we can tell you: You can expect a lot more local flavour, there's going to be a big focus on drama, action and romance content.

The prime-time TV schedule is to undergo a major revamp, with the addition of a Zulu news offering, eNews Izindaba at 6.30pm.

The English news bulletin will be moved to the 8.30pm slot, with it's new Telenovela Ashes to Ashes moving into the 8pm time slot.

"The prime time revamp will come into effect from 2 March. We've noticed that there's been a growing hunger for local drama and content over the last five years and the changes are in line with this. Drama is going to be a huge investment for us and we hope to attack social issues through our content," explained Monde Twala, Managing Director for e.tv Channels Division.
