Bobby Van Jaarsveld: "It's exhausting being a dad"

Popular Afrikaans singer, Bobby Van Jaarsveld, says it's hard work being a dad, especially to two boys who are both still in nappies and won't sleep.

Bobby told Rapport recently that he's finding parenting a real struggle at the moment. "There's only so many eye drops a person can use, " the tired looking star told the newspaper at the launch of his theatre production Liefling. "I am very tired and the children don't sleep".

He revealed that sometimes the two boys, Sion and Leben, wake up as much as 8 times a night- which means their parents don't get any sleep.

Despite the chaos, the couple say they want more kids, just not now. "We want to eventually have 8 kids. Our dream is to have a house filled with kids and, if the lord permits, we will have more kids," he says.

Bobby also revealed that his two boys are well on their way to following in daddy's footsteps. Apparently both boys love singing and demand that mommy and daddy clap their hands when they sing.

"Leben has a very deep voice. It sounds like he could be Theuns Jordaan's son," he laughs.
