Bonnie Mbuli lands role on British detective series

So, the cat's finally out of the bag.

Bonnie Mbuli has revealed the reason why she is not on the third season of Mzansi Magic's Rockville. The actress, who played Dudu on the show, has bagged a role on a British detective series titled Wallander, according to City Press. The show is reportedly being shot in Cape Town.

Bonnie, who shocked many fans when she didn't appear on Rockville on Sunday, took to Instagram to explain and also thanked her fans for the support. She wrote: "I have been overwhelmed with messages and conversations from Rockville fans who are disappointed and sad that I didn't return ,so I figured it's time we had a chat. I had no idea how much you guys loved this character and I am humbled by your support and appreciation for my work. I too am disappointed that I couldn't return..."

She said due to scheduling issues, she couldn't continue with Rockville as she was shooting something else. She also revealed on Twitter that sh was nervous about her new gig. "... gonnaa need some serious big match temperament, playing with the big guns now ! Wish me luck , I'm going in!"
