Brenda Ngxoli: "I'm proud of my roots"

Actress Brenda Ngxoli refuses to let success and fame change the person she is.

Brenda recently opened up to Move magazine about how she's proud of her upbringing and doesn't let her achievements get to her head.

"I'm a rural girl and I'm proud of that. Sometimes as we come to big cities and we make it big, we tend to forget where we come from and in the process, lose focus in life," she told the mag.

The actress added that every success she's been blessed with, she's attributed to her upbringing.

Brenda has not only made a name for herself on home soil but has also been nominated for an Emmy for her role as Vuyo in the SABC1 drama series, Home Affairs in 2007.
