Brickz rape case postponed

There seems to be no end in sight for the rape case against Brickz. The kwaito star, who's accused of raping a 17-year-old girl, appeared in the Rooderpoort Magistrates Court this morning, where his case was postponed to 18 September. According to Sapa, this will allow for the National Director of Public Prosecutions (NDPP) to make a decision.

The news agency reports that Brickz's newly-appointed legal representative Dumisani Mabunda took over the matter on 1 August and immediately asked the court to postpone the case to allow him to make representations to the NDPP.

His former lawyer, Issac Mokgobi is no longer representing Brickz after he allegeldy failed to pay his bills. Brickz is currently out on R50 000 bail.
