Bridget Masinga opens up about true love

Johannesburg - It's safe to say that Bridget Masinga has had a year filled with ups and downs. In April, it was confirmed that she would be splitting from her husband of several years.

Despite the split, Bridget insists that they're still good friends. And since the heartbreak, she seems to be living her best life, travelling recently to New York, joining Jacaranda FM and being a celebrity contestant on Strictly Come Dancing.

Through it all, she's learnt some big lessons, particularly around love.

"But that love that you seek so desperately, that earth shaking, core stirring love that leaves you feeling that you've found your way home... that love is rare. If that's the love that you seek, the feeling that you crave be brave enough to ask for it."

Had me thinking... You'll meet a few men in this journey of life, you'll fall in love a time or two. And if you're lucky it will be real, he will make you happy and maybe even love you in the way you deserve. But that love you seek so desperately, that earth shaking, core stirring love that leaves you feeling like you've found your way home - that love is rare. If that's the love you seek, the feeling you crave then be brave enough to ask for it. Brave enough to believe in it. They will tell you, you're a "hopeless romantic" but nothing about you is hopeless. No, you are hopeful, loved and blessed Beloved. Believe it. And one day you'll find the man who not only wants to read the whole book, but he will want to be part of the story????
