Bryan Habana: "I was a victim of my father's dishonesty"

Bryan Habana has finally spoken out about his damaged relationship with his father, Berni.

The rugby player told You magazine: "My father managed my professional career from very early on and I put a lot of trust in him, asking him to manage my sponsorships, endorsements and contracts. He was also responsible for managing certain aspects of my finances."

Bryan said he discovered irregularities in his personal finances and dealings with his sponsors. "On discovering those irregularities I discovered I was a victim of my father's dishonesty."

After confronting Bernie, Bryan decided to end their business relation. He said: "Our father-son relationship has sadly also become non-existent since we ended our professional relationship in 2010."
