CONFIRMED: One arrested in Senzo Meyiwa shooting

The National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) have confirmed that a suspect has been arrested for the murder and robbery of soccer star Senzo Meyiwa.

eNCA senior journalist Karyn Maughan, tweeted the breaking news a few minutes ago. "NPA confirms that 25 year old Zanokuhle Mbatha has appeared in court for murder and robbery of  . Mbatha appeared in Boksburg Magistrates Court briefly. He's back in court on 11 November," read the tweet.

The NPA also confirmed that the case was postponed so that the suspect could apply for legal aid. Police are expected to release a statement in the next half an hour.

The Bafana Bafana captain and Orlando Pirates goalkeeper was shot on Sunday night.
