Carl Pistorius opens up about Oscar's prison life

In an exclusive interview with YOU magazine Oscar Pistorius' brother, Carl has opened up about how the paralympian is coping behind bars.

Among other things, Carl spoke to the mag about his brother's first birthday in prison and described in detail how they sang 'Happy Birthday' to him through the glass window.

Carl explained that during his first visit to Oscar, he advised him to the stick to a very strict routine every day in order to beat the feelings of depression.

He advised Oscar to exercise religiously everyday, write in a journal and tackle the day ten minutes at a time.

Carl also revealed to the magazine that his brother keeps busy by giving fellow prisoners suffering from TB advice on how to exercise to keep their body strong and reading books from the prison library.
