Johannesburg – Rapper Cassper Nyovest has spoken out for the first time about the pain he felt after AKA dropped a track taking shots at him.
The two rappers have been involved in a public feud for months, with both artists dropping diss tracks aimed at each other.
It all started with AKA releasing a freestyle, Composure aimed at Cassper, where he says he will not "worship your golden ponytail" and questions Cassper's talent (listen to it here)
Talking to the media at a press conference in Johannesburg on Tuesday, Cassper says the track got to him and he had to respond- which he did through his own track Dust2dust (listen to it here).
"I responded to AKA's Composure because it got to me," he reveals "It was personal for me, and I was even losing sleep over it. As a man I had to respond."
During the press conference ahead of his #FillUpTheDome concert at the end of the month, he revealed that his friends, including Riky Rick were dead against him releasing a response track, but he just had to do it.
"I walked away from having a gun to my head, from being slapped, but there are some things you just can't walk away from and I could not walk away from Composure."
