Cassper has had an incredible 2014. The rapper's debut album, Tsholofelo, went gold, he recorded tracks with Talib Kweli and Wizkid, and he walked away with the Most Gifted Video of the Year Award at the Channel O Africa Video Awards. This, of course, was the biggest award of the night.
Speaking on V Entertainment recently, Cassper said winning feels great. Cassper, who's on top of his game right now, has been perceived as arrogant. It seems people think he's too confident and vocal about being number one.
He said: "Nobody has a problem with you when you aren't number one, but you ain't a threat. Like when I put out Gusheshe I said it was gonna be the biggest hip hop song that year and nobody had a problem with that. The problem is when you really are [number one]."
He added that he knows that there's more to lose than to gain and that it's only the beginning. "I'm not really worried about how people feel about me right now." Cassper is now focused on the future. He said he's done with 2015, and added: "I'm planning my 2016, that's how far in I am in my work."
Well, okay then, Cassper!
