Cassper takes a swipe at North West government

Cassper Nyovest has criticised the Mafikeng government for failing its artists. The rapper, who comes from the North West town, believes they do not get enough support.

He tweeted: "KZN artists get so much support from their government. They can even live there and survive. Maftown has never had that." He added that it is sad to see how artists from the town have to leave in order to make a living for themselves. "Our department of sports, arts and culture failed us," the rapper wrote.

In our opinion, the reason why KZN artists are thriving may be because they created opportunities for themselves rather than relying on state departments’ support. Maybe Cassper can be the change he wants to see? Just a thought!
