Celebs who won Twitter in 2014

Some people go out of their way to be nasty to celebs.

It's like they don't realise that our stars are also human and have feelings too. Anyway, some of these celebs don't take being bullied lightly. In fact, they make sure that they put these trolls in their places.

Here are some celebs who definitely won Twitter this year:

Hlomla Dandala

The actor has made it clear that he will not be bullied, especially by trolls who hide behind the internet. Every other day, we see the star going up against a "fan" and winning, of course. In one of the many incidents, a troll accused Hlomla of being a man whore and he hit back.

He responded: "If one calls me Isifebe (man whore) to dissuading me from a position I argue, they’re mistaken if they think they’ve "won" becos I disengage. There is no truth u can say to a hater to stop them from hating on u. Hate is self fulfilling cycle."

Chester Missing

Chester is probably a contender for celebrity of the year. Like, have you ever seen a puppet going up against a man (Steve Hofmeyr to be exact) Well, this year saw Chester being taken to court by the Afrikaans musician. This was after the comedian called him out on his racist remarks.

Steve wrote on Twitter: "Sorry to offend you but in my books, Blacks were the architects of Apartheid go figure." This clearly offended Chester and many South Africans. Words were exchanged left, right and centre and the matter ended up in court. Steve lost! Well done to Chester for standing up and making his voice heard.

Kelly Khumalo

A fan got to experience Kelly Khumalo's bad side a while ago. Shortly after Kelly's ex Jub Jub's murder conviction was overturned, a fan asked Kelly how she feels. Boy, did he get his answer. A clearly annoyed Kelly responded: "Ungazongbhoshela mina ngingenaphi lapho xa!"This, loosely translated, means "don’t come sh*t on me, what does that have to do with me?"

Pearl Thusi

Pearl put a hater right in her place a few months ago. A woman, who clearly doesn’t her, took to the social media platform to express how she feels. She tweeted: " you seem to think you’re above everyone else. You’re really not all that ey." The TV personality quickly dismissed the woman with this response:  "*yawn* do I know you?" We're sure that left her feeling very small. Ouch!

Cassper Nyovest

This one is not scandalous, but we really felt we should add Cassper for using Twitter to do something positive for a change. The rapper offended a lot of people after releasing his track titled Beef. The rapper had one controversial line in the song about K.O. He raps, "Yeah, I’m cool with number two cause I’m richer than number one." This was in response to MTV Base's Hottest MCs list.

But it seems he had a sudden change of heart and felt the need to apologise to K.O. Cassper took to Twitter to express how sorry he was. He tweeted: "That line on beef about @MrCashtime [K.O] was childish and unnecessary. I said it to discredit the list but I ended up disrespecting my brother." He added that he was wrong. It takes a grown person to admit his faults.

We commend you, Cassper!
